Escape

Through its Sabre brand Scott Health and Safety was a pioneer of Escape Breathing Apparatus technology. The original concept for the coveted Sabre ELSA - Emergency Life Support Apparatus was developed to help avoid unecessary loss of life, like that seen during the falklands war. During this conflict it was found that 90% of fatalities on HMS Sheffield died through smoke inhalation. The result of research conducted by Scott Health & Safety led to the development of the 'ELSA', which has now become industry standard terminology for Escape Breathing Apparatus. The ELSA is in now in its third generation and is available in either positive pressure or constant flow models giving 10 or 15 minute escape periods.

ELSA®

The ELSA emergency escape respirator provides 5,10 or 15 minutes of escape time from toxic environments, even at (IDLH*) levels. Also available as a high flow 5 minute unit with a higher airflow for escape requiring higher breathing rates. ELSA can be worn by those who wear glasses or have beards.

ELSA Sprint

The Sabre ELSA Sprint is a positive pressure escape set providing air on demand for situations where the escape route may require a lot of physical exertion or where the maximum levels of protection are required.

ELSA Muster

Positive pressure escape set providing air on demand for situations where the escape route may require a lot of physical exertion or where the maximum levels of protection are required.

ELSA Dash

The Sabre ELSA Dash is a constant flow escape set with hood and is ideally suited to marine and industrial environments.

Flite/Flite Escape

Sabre Flite is a positive pressure airline breathing apparatus with the option of a 10, 13 or 15-minute compressed air cylinder supply for escape from the most hazardous environments.
